How to get a London Transport Student Travelcard:
A London Student travel card, entitles you to around 30% off 7
Day, monthly and longer period travelcards, tube and buss passes.
If anybody travels in London by public trasport then it's well
worth doing, and this is how it's done.
1) You have to get the ordinary NUS card first, if you haven't
already done so.
see http://www.ultraversity.net/cssindex?path=card.php
2) Phone the contact below at APU and ask her to send you a Transport
for London student travel photocard application form, tell her you
are a student at Ultraversity.
Sue Post,
Student services
APU Chelmsford
01245493131 x 3298
3) When the form arrives in the post, fill it in and send it back
to her including a passport photo, a photocopy of your NUS card
and anything else required.
She will then stamp it with the APU NUS stamp, and send it back
to you.
4) Send off the filled in and stamped form together with £5
payment (you can use a credit card no for this ) to the Transport
for London student photocards address.
5) about a week later, you should get the photocard back and start
to enjoy discounts on travelcards. Unfortunately, it will run out
in September 2004 and you'll have to apply for another one then.
